Nuria Perez Porcel
Clinical Psychologist

I am an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with over ten years of experience working across Spain and the UK. I completed my professional training in Spain, where I developed a strong clinical foundation in evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention, and research, before continuing my career within the NHS and private practice in the UK.

My clinical experience spans the lifespan, including work with children and adolescents, adults, and older adults across a wide range of settings. I have worked within CAMHS, neurodevelopmental and trauma services, addiction and dual-diagnosis rehabilitation, residential care, and private practice. This international background has enriched my clinical approach, allowing me to work flexibly and sensitively with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.Alongside my clinical work, I have been actively involved in research and service assessment.

In Spain, I contributed to a university led research project focused on eating disorders, body image, and wellbeing in young people, delivering assessments, psychoeducation, and early intervention within educational settings. More recently, within the NHS, I led a clinical audit exploring Complex Emotional Needs (CEN) in older adult mental health services. This project informed service development and contributed to the introduction of structured, evidence-based approaches to care for individuals with complex presentations.I work integratively, drawing on a range of evidence based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), mindfulness-based approaches, systemic work, and clinical hypnosis.

My practice is trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and grounded in collaboration, compassion, and ethical care.I aim to provide a safe, supportive, and reflective therapeutic space where individuals can better understand their experiences, strengthen emotional regulation, and move towards meaningful and fulfilling lives. I value working collaboratively with individuals, families, and professional networks when appropriate, and I remain committed to ongoing learning, research, and professional development.
