Dr Bethany Crawford | Clinical Psychologist

I’m an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist offering face-to-face and remote therapy in London. I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at UCL, alongside NHS clinical training across a range of services.

My work is guided by thoughtful assessment and psychological formulation, ensuring therapy is grounded in a thoughtful understanding of your experiences and the wider context of your life.

I integrate a range of therapeutic approaches, including trauma-focused, systemic, narrative, and relational therapies, alongside Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). I also draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) where helpful for particular difficulties.

I have supported adults, young people, children, and families across primary and secondary care, CAMHS, learning disabilities, veterans’ mental health, and NHS staff wellbeing services. I have experience working with difficulties including anxiety, depression, trauma (including PTSD and complex PTSD), OCD, relational difficulties, and low self-esteem. I also support people navigating questions of identity, loss, and periods of change or transition, such as shifts in roles, relationships, or life circumstances. I work with neurodivergent individuals, including autistic people and those with ADHD, using a neuroaffirmative, strengths-based approach.

My practice offers a warm, containing, and collaborative space to explore difficulties and make sense of your experiences. Therapy begins with developing a shared understanding of what has brought you to therapy, including how early relationships, life experiences, and coping strategies may have shaped current patterns. With curiosity and compassion, we reflect on the role these strategies once played, while gently exploring new ways of coping and relating to yourself and others, supporting you to move towards a more fulfilling and meaningful life.I recognise that reaching out for support can feel daunting, and beginning therapy takes courage. My aim is to offer a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and respected. Together, we can explore your hopes for therapy and work towards meaningful and lasting change.
